The Philippine Association for Media and Information Literacy (PAMIL) Inc. is a SEC registered non-stock, non-profit professional organization of Media and Information Literacy (MIL) educators, trainers, advocates, and practitioners.
PAMIL’s vision is “to be the leading organization in advocating Media and Information Literacy (MIL) in the Philippines'' and its mission is “to promote Media and Information Literacy (MIL) as a lifelong learning skill in a knowledge-based economy and media-saturated Filipino society”. The organization endeavors to see Filipinos become active, equipped, responsible and ethical media consumers and users.
To realize the declared mission and vision, PAMIL is committed to the following objectives: To develop the Media and Information Literacy (MIL) skills of educators, trainers, advocates, and practitioners through conferences, workshops, seminars, and learning events; To assist schools and other educational institutions in developing strategies in integrating MIL in the curricula; To conduct studies on MIL geared towards promoting it as a content and a process in teaching-learning situations; To participate actively in advocating MIL in the program and/or policy agenda of academic, government, non-government, and private organizations; and To produce MIL learning materials and resources for MIL educators and trainers.
